Bread & Cakes
Home Baking

In the past I have made bread the traditional way by mixing everything by hand and then kneading it, putting it into the airing cupboard or onto the radiator to rise. The only difference really is that you get a different shape loaf; the mixture may end up being a little tighter in one loaf than the other, and you can release any frustration by kneading. Some of my best bread has been made after a frustrating day in the office.
Putting everything in the bread machine and letting it do the hard work for you is much easier, and the end result is just as tasty.
You can put your machine onto the timer – I have come home from work before now and forgotten that I left the machine on and was instantly welcomed with the smell of freshly baked bread when entering the house.
