I find that using wheat free flour does make crumbles lighter and they do not taste fatty. I have found that since using dairy free spreads and goat’s butter, you do not get that fatty after taste, which I think makes the crumble even tastier. You can make crumbles out of almost any fruit you like. It is amazing how different a apple crumble tastes with just a few cloves added. Or how much flavour a rice pudding has by adding vanilla flavoured sugar. If it is less fattening puddings you want then try the simple but delicious Raspberries on a Slant. If you prefer you can use Strawberries, blackcurrants or any other soft fruit. Here are a few recipes from my book
